    Cowl grille replavement

Hi, I am replacing the rubber molding on the cowl grille. It is off at the moment but I am having difficulty to see what was part of the old rubber molding (which completely disintegrated) and what is the caulk or sealant on the windshield.

Is everything on the bottom of the windshield can be scraped off or do I need to be careful not to touch the original sealant?

The new cowl should just snap into place. The attached YouTube link can help you.

Thank you. I only ordered an aftermarket rubber trim ($9) as the rest seems to be fine, only the rubber molding disintegrated. Unfortunately I have to take out the windshield to replace the rubber seal around it first so I will have the chance to clean everything before putting back the cowl.
