Bigger intake - how to adapt cam timing? (M60 manifold on M62tu)

Hey there. I just swapped the intake manifold of my M62B44tu for a M60b40 manifold. I am now wondering how i can adjust the vanos mapping to adapt it to the Upgrade. The new manifold has larger (thicker) runners, so the velocity of the air on the runners should be lower than before. I dont have the exact data for the tu cams but The cams should have around 238° opening time and around 112° lobe for the non vanos engine. No matter how often i think about it, every time i get at the point where i dont know if the benefits of retarding/advancing the intake timing is getting ocercompemsated by the downsides of it. So on my current tune i tried to take the standard timing and keep it to higher rpms, so i ended up with more overlap on higher rpms than standard.

At the moment i dont have any tool to log data, i would just log MAF data with different cam settings if i could.

I also checked a tune from the same engine with other cams, also M60 intake and headers that has been dond by a rather competent guy and i found out that he went for more overlap all the way up. But i dont know how he set the cams mechanically and i dont know if he also changed the scaling of the rpm axis as my xdf doesnt have the axes incorporated.

Any suggestions or ideas how to log ME7.2?

You'd get better response if this were posted to the e39 section.

why do you think that you have to do anything to ME7.2?
