I think the clock can be retrofitted but youll lose OBC functionality

I think he's talking about the display when you push the right stalk in towards the wheel - it cycles through MPG, Temp, etc. Just curious, how much earlier are you talking about? My 96 Roadster has a digital clock.

Mine is a 2001. It has a digital clock with the onboard computer, but it’s round not square. I just like the look of the analog clock better. I don’t use any of the other functions except time anyways

Yeah I like the look of the analog better but I think I will keep the digital. I forgot about the OBC function as displayed via the digital clock.
