OK so after changing out the entire cooling system and I mean everything, my upper hose would collapse in about an hour or two after a drive as the system cooled down. So the number one item that causes this I read what the cap on the pressure tank. So I changed it with another Bear cap. Remember I already put a brand new one on and now another brand new one. ( I have parts laying around ). Two brand new Bear caps and it still is collapsing. Then one day i was organizing all my stuff and parts and noticed another brand new radiator cap made by URO. I said, I have nothing to lose, lets try it.
URO solved the problem. I don't know what to say. I was told over and over again that URO was not a good brand but no more issues. The only difference I noticed was the two o-rings on the URO were loose and thinner than the Bear.
So before you tear down the system out of frustration, try the most likely issue first and then second too.
Good tip Bro.
