    Best source for Euro Lights?

I've always wanted to put some smilies on my old E32 but never got around to to it. Well, no time like the present.

Does anyone have a pair for sale, or can recommend a vendor/source? Looking for authentic and not knock-offs like Depo

Good to see that you’re taking care of your 750iL, and are going the right way with your mods. When I was in the market for e32 smilies, eBay.de + e34 forums were my go to. When I found a set I liked in Germany, I asked the seller in English (+ translated German) if they would ship over here, even if they listed that they didn’t in the auction. Worked out for me.
The e34 guys are more into the conversion I found, so place your WTB ad in those forums.
Last try emailing Schmiedmann (in Odense) as they sell used and new BMW parts and speak English. They don’t have much in the way of e32 parts anymore, but who does really.
Between all 3x of those, you should find what you are looking for. Let us know how it goes - cheers

Actually Schmiedmann has some used ones in stock, and cheap too, check it out:

I ‘think’ the headlight frames are the same between Euro/NA cars, meaning the low beams are plug and play with your car - but do your due diligence before pulling the trigger.

plugs in wire loom to the headlights are different in EURO lights, here the details what you need http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/Euro_light.htm
headlights you can buy from car-parts24 in Berlin Germany https://www.car-parts24.com/Lights-BMW-e32
but calculate with a shipping time of 4-6 weeks, my son in Germany sent for me some parts to the US last month and that took 4 weeks by air, he even had to pay Covid19 surcharge

I should clarify, when I said plug and play I was referring to the headlights into the headlight frames; but as mentioned, I’m not even 100% sure on that. I did forget to mention about the differences regarding the plugs that power the headlights. Thank you Master for bringing it up.
I have lots of used plug/pigtails that you need to convert from NA to euro smilies, which I would let go for cheap. PM me if you need them.

    I recently bought a set of aftermarket projector/angel eye headlights for my 92 735, and I'm pleased with them. (look on Amazon}
Yes, the plug connectors were different. I don't understand your need for having oem (used) parts, other than it's your preference for your car. New is nicer, and Depco seems ok to me

Someone from BC Canada was selling a refurbished set of Euro headlights, I think in the E34 classifieds forum.

Thanks for sharing that, shogun. I'm a little confused -- why is the entire assembly for each side less expensive than just the lens? Is there a difference in the brand/quality? Would be easier to just buy the whole assy, and ensure that everything is nice and new

Item description also says this: Installation on the left, for vehicles with headlamp leveling (electrical), H1 / H1, E-type approved, with lamp holder
Electrical leveling? is that compatible w/ my car?

Thank you for the positive words and encouragement. I will probably need the plugs/pigtails, I'll send a PM. Thanks!

complete set of aftermarket headlights is usually cheaper than a Bosch or Hella single lens. I assume the cpl. sets car-parts24 sells is from TYC in Taiwan, there are some more shops in Germany which sell these TYC, a single lens from TYC costs abt. EUR 30 I found in another shop in Germany.
    cpl. set right TYC 20-5291-15-2
    cpl. set left TYC 20-5292-15-2
Electric levelling is not needed for your 750 as it has LAD and adjusts the headlight aim height via LAD. But the kit in version with headlight electric aim will also fit your 750. In Europe electric headlight aim is standard requirement to pass TUEV on the E32, except the iL versions with LAD, so if you do not need it, no need to install the electric headlight aim motors. But all the bolts/nuts are there for manual adjustement after installation for general aim set up. The rest is done by LAD.

Great info. I'll have to find another vendor to purchase from -- car-parts24.com will only sell to EU (and Israel for some reason -- only non-EU country they ship to)..not even UK, let alone Canada or USA. But they ship to Faroe islands! Weird policy. I'm sure I can find them on eBay or something...
