Another day off and another day at the junkyard.

    Found something interesting.
2000 528iT. Tan inside and out and with a auto box.
What is interesting is the fact that it is a non-sunroof car. Never seen one of those. Also did not have heated seats but did have Nav and the two way rear roller.

Would have been nice if it didn't have roof rails. Would have yanked the strips. The hatch and glass were both closed when I got there, based on the fact that the tools were still in it I am guessing no one knew how to open the hatch.

The rear seat was in beautiful shape with the exception of the right side bottom that was bent by some who didn't know how to remove wagon rear seats. I took the upper seat portions and the bolsters as well as the rear windows.

I did find a unicorn in the form of unbroken front cup holder.

But the ultimate find was the 9mm bullet that fell out when removing the rear seat backs. Weight told me it had powder and the primer was unfired. Decal on the back glass was for a Motorcycle club. I gave it to the staff so it could be disposed of properly. Live ammo in a car that is destined to be crushed didn't seem like a good idea.

That looked too good to be crushed.

Sad to see a good shaped wagon at a junkyard.

Weird spec on that one. I see lots of E39s in the yards in richmond, never seen a wagon though.

I see e39 wagons about 2-3 times a year in GA. They're rare for sure, and parts get picked quickly(by whom, I cannot fathom as I next to never see other e39 wagons on the road)
