    Stander, sport, or m sport

    Hello all
    one of my shocks went and I wanted to know
    if anyone can tell me how I know which shocks I have?
    i tried the vin number sites and none seam
    to be working. I have the sport package but
    its not a real m5 car.
    I have a 2003 530i

    You tried www.realoem.com using your VIN to determine part numbers?

    remember the e39 is considered "classic" on realoem now. Whatever you have, it would be ideal to change all 4 corners to new at the same time rather than match/replace a single shock. And then you have a lot more options, to upgrade, go coilovers, etc.
