Smile Bluetooth "CD changer" never sleeps, drains battery

    Hi guys,

I had battery drain caused by CD changer on my E46, which was always "shuffling" between CDs, even when the car was off and locked, and killed the battery overnight. I solved this by removing the CD thingy from the changer.

However, today I installed bluetooth module which replaces the CD changer. Works fine, BUT GUESS WHAT. It never sleeps. After installation, I turned the car off and the bluetooth turned off. I was like "phew thanks god" and I proceeded to complete the trunk carpets back to place. Once done, the bluetooth turned on again.

So it turns off, and then, when the car is off and locked, and even the radio is off, it turns back on after few seconds. I disconnected the battery and I'm thinking about how to fix this.

Do I need to reconnect the cables to cut the power to the "CD changer" when the car is off, or is there easier solution please?

    Thanks. Drive safe.

What bluetooth unit did you get?? I had the same problem with a Chinese unit. And my radio and CD player were bad.

When unplugged regardless of what was plugged in does the drain go away and how are you measuring this drain.
