E46 m3 Tach swap?

My 94 m3 tachometer is in KM and I really like the lights on the e46 m3's, so I plan on trying a swap. Has anyone done this or know if its possible?

Tachometers are not calibrated in Km! The cluster you are looking for is from a UK market M3 as it is calibrated in MPH and retains the oil temp gauge of the euro cluster.

What!? Tacho's show revs measured in rpm's not KM or MPH.

Clusters can be coded for KM or MPH.

The E46 gauge cluster uses a different bus system for all the info. However the S54 Z3's use an E46 M3 style cluster. But no shiftlights (as I take it that's the lights you like).
