anyone running this. i've got a 79 with a stock distributor and an msd blaster, going for an upgrade.
should i use a bosch red coil, flame thrower? ballast resistor?

Were running one on the race car. Performance distributor from TEP. Ignitor 2 with 60104 Pertronix coil flamethrower 0.45 ohm coil. Magnecor wireset. NGK vpower plugs with cutback groundstraps.

The ignitor shouldn't need a ballast resistor. The standard version can run a 3.0 ohm coil, but the ver2 can run 0.45 ohm.

Make sure and use a bosch copper cap and if hot coil i'd use a non-resistor rotor button.
