    Steering Wheel Badge

I just had my steering wheel replaced with an E46 M-sport's 3-spoke from the face lift models (double stage airbag) and the badge on the airbag cover has seen better days. It's not that bad, but could be better. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what the part number is for a new steering wheel airbag cover badge? I've tried looking and some websites say the center cap badges can fit onto the steering wheel, but I believe that might be false. Does anyone have an idea or can point me to the right direction? I believe the measurement is 44-45 mm for the airbag cover badge, at least that is what some old threads from more than a decade ago say.

Be careful! The badge must be very soft - you don't to be smacked hard in the kisser if the airbag goes off. It could do an awful lot of damage.

airbag emblems are non-removable. Because in an accident it would become shrapnel.

But this guy did it. I can see 3 plastic tabs on my airbag where they insert into.

I finally replaced it. Removed the old badge with a flat head screwdriver, scraped off all of the old adhesive, and then used a little bit of super glue (for extra precaution) and stuck on the brand new badge. It is 45 mm in diameter. Perfect!
