2015 328d, Keep long term or unload?

Hello, I purchased my 2015 328d used in October 2018. I purchased the 4 year bumper to bumper extended warranty. If I trade it in now, I will take a significant hit, between 15k & 20k. I didn't know how badly these cars depreciate!!! Would it be a deadly mistake to keep the car long term say until its 10 years old? I'm saving about 2k in fuel per year. Thanks for any suggestions.

In my opinion, the 328d is one of the best recent BMWs that they've built. They're reliable, cheap to maintain and work on yourself, and can be quite fun.. I'd keep it.

The Service Manager at my dealership suggested I get the anti pollution bypass kit if I decide to keep it long term. To be honest I'm not really sure what he is talking about.

What he is recommending is to remove the emissions equipment, which is illegal both in Canada and USA.
