As some of you may know, there aren't any OEM bushings available for the lower control arm on the rear suspension. During the research for my rear monoball kits, I found that the rear control arm bushings from the E60 and E65 chassis are almost identical to the E38 and E39 chassis and they are readily available. The only difference is that the holes sizes are different. The E60/E65 parts have 12mm and 14mm holes and the E38 has 10mm and 12mm holes. E39 sedans and non m cars have the same as E38. E39 M5 and Touring have 10mm and 14mm holes, so the one bushing can be used as is on those cars.
I bought a set of bushings. Reamed out the centers and then I machine stainless steel tube to press into them to make the hole size correct. If you're interested in having me make you set send me a PM. The part number is on the boxes in the first picture is you want to make a set yourself.

For the 12mm application, why can’t you use the larger bolt, and drill the bolt hole to match - but this is very interesting.
The bushings are different widths. You could do that, but you would have to reduce the width of the bushing. I considered that, but I was already setup to ream and machine the parts, so it was easier for me just to press in a tube on both parts. I was also unwilling to drill out my subframe, but that would be an easy solution also if your willing to do that.
I wrote on the sleeves "Front" and "Rear". The parts marked "front" will have he 10mm hole and go towards the front of the car. The parts marked "rear" will have the 12mm and go towards the rear. I do one arm at a time to make sure I don't get them mixed up, because they look pretty close to the same if you're not paying attention.
Appreciate that info and that tip.
