I have a 2014 BMW X5 X35i with 70,000 miles on it. I noticed a rattling noise coming from underneath the front of my vehicle. I took it to an auto shop and they inspected it and told me I needed new left front upper and left front lower rearward control arms with ball joints. They also indicated that my bushing had a lot of play in it and needed to be replaced too. Price was quoted at $820. Seems awfully expensive. I'm I being scammed? Please help..
That's probably an accurate estimate for thrust rods, bushings, and wishbones.
If $820 is an expensive repair to you, then you need to find another vehicle. An F15 X5 will need several repairs in it's lifetime, upwards of $800.
