The wiper drive pin fell out. From what I can find out the C-clip tends to break. I found a thread on a UK 5 series where it happened to another guy and he said that a 3mm c-clip broke.
So now I will have to find a 3mm c-clip so I can have my rear wiper back.
UPDATE
Wasn't able to find a 3mm C-clip so I got a 1/8" one which translates to 3.175mm. They came in a 2 pack the first one sprung off into a different dimension, the second one seemed a tad small and making it fit resulted in it not really having any real retention properties. And then it joined its brother in the other dimension.
At that point I decided to take a look at my spare glass. The stock method of holding the pin in is not a C-clip, it appears to be a tight fitting washer that is pressed on and into the groove along with a rubber bumper washer.
I took the assembly off the donor glass. It all went smoothly. Of course taking my junk apart didn't go as smoothly. To take the triangular piece off that covers the arm nut you have to remove this tiny little T10 screw that threads into a metal collar which was of course spinning. I had to drill out the screw. Hated to do that but had no choice.
The rest of the swap went smoothly hardest part was adjusting the latch. I feel I have it right, glass is snug but doesn't pop too hard when released.
I might adjust the arm a spline or two. There is a little slop between the pin and motor drive place so you have a little variance.
