X3 E83 cooling fan transfer case failure relationship

Guys, I have a failure in the transfer case, I suppose it is the infamous plastic gear (E83 LCI, european version 3.0 diesel 2009), and thus getting the dreadful lights on the dash, namely ABS, brake, 4WD and Airbag on.

However besides the lights I have the cooling fan going on full blast and will not stop.

Could someone point out a way to disengage the relationship between transfer case failure and cooling fan permanently on?? this while I can get the spares here and replace the infamous plastic gear....

p.s. I had as well just changed the batttery, but the issue started before replacement

There is none there is probably a fault present in the dme for the water pump, your car is overheating

Did you find a solution to this? I think I have the exact same issue.
