so i went golfing yesterday, drove the car 27 miles to the course, about 1 mile away the check engine light came on and it really ran bad.... parked.... golfed..... had to drive home... 27 miles.... i had pre purchased the OBD2 cable and adapter for my phone, so i bought ProTools... ran the codes and found a missfire in Cyl 1. so i swapped coils with cyl 2, cleared the codes, started the car and re ran them. and the missfire followed the Coil.... so i bought a new Coil, replaced it, and the missfire code went away.but now it runs pretty rough at idle, i took it for a test drive, it liked full open throttle, but slow speeds/stoping are jerky... i now have Code 2d06 for Air-Mass System....
now what?
You may have fouled a spark plug. Take the two out and check. You can clean them up with a brush.
A fouled spark plug would cause another misfire fault code, not an air mass system fault code. There's possibly a vacuum leak somewhere. Not sure if you caused it when you replaced the coil or not. Check the vent hose at the back of the valve cover.
