05 3.0i tow hitch doesn't mate

I went to Absolute German Autowrecking (seattle) and asked for an 05 oem trailer bar to replace my rear sub bumper. It looked correct but once I dropped the rear outer bumper shell I could see things were not mating up.

My car has a sort of three bolt strut connection with a hollow T for my primary bumper bolts to attach to.

The donor hitch has two offset bolts per side that don't look to connect to my car in any way.

Fist they could have made different hitches for different optioned out x3s and what brand is it clearly something is wrong with the part I would go to the dealer and have them look it up via the vin
