The Plastic gear in my front motor for the top broke. I called the dealership and sever parts houses with no luck. Does anyone know where I can find it and what the name for the gear is called?

If anybody makes it it would be odometer company they make all sorts of gears for cars

I did a search for "bmw z4 soft top motor gear" in E-bay and two listing s came up that look to be what you are talking about. They were metal gears, not plastic ones.
1999 2.8L Z3 Roadster,
2000 3.0L Z3 Roadster,
There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
