FFN and Not My Fault Rallies

Start off the Labor Day weekend with the September First Friday Niter Road Rally. Paul McGaffey is the Rallymaster, and he has written a nice tour rally that runs primarily in Ventura County. We are still practicing COVID-19 restrictions – primarily wearing masks and social distancing. We will be using the Richta GPS app for checkpoints, so no manned checkpoints or control cards to pass in and out of the car. The finish is at Pizza Man Dan’s, 144 W Los Angeles Ave, Moorpark, the same place as last month. They will likely not be open for inside dining, but you can sit in their patio.

Registration opens at 7 pm, beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 pm, first car out at 8:01 pm, Bank of America rear lot, 10300 Sepulveda Blvd (Sepulveda and Devonshire), Mission Hills. The entry fee for the FFNs has gone up; the new entry fee is $25, with a $10 discount if either the driver or navigator is an SCCA member. (If you run the FFNs regularly, this becomes an excellent reason to join SCCA, plus there are other discounts available.)

Our next daytime rally (so much easier to see the signs and scenery!) is Not My Fault on September 12, Joanna Weissen’s annual tour event. She promises that the odo check will visit the site of the very recent earthquake in Pacoima (actually pretty close to the FFN start location). We will be ending the rally at the traditional NMF finish location, La Cabaņa Mexican Restaurant in Acton, 2370 Soledad Canyon Rd, dining outside. The rally will last about 4 hours.
