Hmmm maybe it was to make the turbos fit (no clue where they'd stuff those), but it is missing some plastics under the hood. Radiator fan shroud, distributor cap covers, are the obvious ones. I see the washer fluid tank was deleted as well.
It's also got poorly matched wood shifter and e-brake handles retrofitted,
Wish they hadn't murdered the hood with vents too.

The hood vents are to feed the intercoolers, seems that some Dinan 750iL TT V12’s had them, and some didn’t. Maybe it depends on what stage turbo system it has? Perhaps one of the lucky owners that owns one of these rare TT beasts can chime in.
I'd pay a decent amount of money just to drive an E32 that can do 0 to 60 4.3s.... wowza!
A few years ago I had a 2000 328i with a 5spd and it put my 735i to shame (felt very quick to me), but I just looked it up, and that car only did a 7 second 0-60! So 4.3 seconds would be bonkers, especially in a 30 year old 750il!!
...where do I sign?
saw this on facebook tonight https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...code=undefined wish i had the cash no relation to seller

I have an e46 325cic, it feels much slower than the e32 750iL despite having similar hp:wt ratio. e46 = 0.0720, e32 = 0.0717
I chop it up to the low end torque. Can't imagine doubling the HP, it would feel like a German Hellcat.
The e32 735i is 0.0592
All the ratios were calculated from curb weights fwiw.

Shogun tricks and tips for the E32 series are HERE!
Good find! I've been on the hunt for original BMW chrome exhaust tips for the e32 740 (p/n 82129401296). Realoem doesn't list them as NLA yet, but I've contacted BMW and there aren't any left in stock. I have a set of two but they are in terrible condition, the chrome has worn and pitted down to what looks like the copper base plating. I might try and find a shop that can refinish and plate them.
send him a request, if he can produce them, probably depends on qty he can sell, here is the request form https://www.extra-classics.de/Antrag-auf-Nachfertigung/
or send him a PM here on the forum, user name black850i DE

Tempted...any pics as installed on an E32?
Edit, I saw they had a few helpful products for M70:
Oil spray bar locking plates: https://www.extra-classics.de/Sicher...31-E32/EC53041
Intake manifold gaskets: https://www.extra-classics.de/Dichtu...70-M73/EC53015
^ For me, I just cleaned and reused my old ones after applying sealant per instructions in the E31 community. Worked well. Lets see how it holds up in 5-10+ years. Tempted to buy this set, "just in case". I know there's another fellow in E31 community who also sells custom M70 IM gaskets.
MAF testing: https://www.extra-classics.de/M70-LM...messer/EC53022
^ This is interesting. Probably only cost effective for local people given shipping cost. Are MAF known to be a maintenance item? I have most of the service records for my car but no record of them being changed.

as for the MAF problem there is a interesting thread in the E31 forum, he also tested aftermarket MAF's with bad results and compared them with good Bosch MAF data. Translated:
Product information "M70 LMM Check Bosch 0280212010 BMW E31 850i E32 750i E36 320i E34 520i Mass Air Flow Sensor".
The mass air flow sensor is one of the few sensors on the car that you cannot check yourself. At the same time, they have a strong impact on engine running, performance and fuel consumption. However, a defective mass airflow sensor is not always easy to detect on the vehicle. Possible symptoms and effects can be: Poor smooth running at idle, Increased fuel consumption, Decreased power, Uneven pull across the rev range
Faulty exhaust gas treatment, overload of the KATs. Error entry in the error memory (rare, as mostly not detected by the DME 1.7x). Increased engine combustion temp. and heat development in full load range
Without special measuring equipment the condition cannot be determined. The scope of service includes the inspection (in tolerance yes/no) incl. inspection sticker with registration number. For the V12 engines we recommend to check both MAF.
There is also a company in the US which repairs M70 MAF often recommended in the E31 forum http://www.injectionlabs.com/massmeter.html

I bought mine in a 4 pack with a buddy and it came out to $150 for a pair. Well worth it in my opinion. BMW has these, but they are Euro market only, and will not ship them to US dealers. Fits like a glove and looks great. Only exhaust mod I would do to an e32

You're spot on whiteghost, they are to put air through the intercoolers in the front. I wasn't aware that some TTs didn't have the hood vents, it was my understanding that they all did (maybe some got in an accident and has to use a standard hood?). Realistically removed the high beams would be more advantageous than the hood vents.
I know that there has been talk of potential stage 2 and stage 3 in these cars but I don't believe that there was any difference in power (unlike the E31 stage 2 and stage 3). Mine was the original testing vehicle that Dinan used to build their TT project for the E32 and E31 (validated by Steve Dinan). They ran it as 10psi and got 600hp but blew the engine. So the TT cars were detuned to 9 psi and that seemed to work.

My understanding is that M73 cars (E38 750, E31 850Ci) used the same 5HP30 trans as all M60/M62 cars.
No offense to the 4HP22, but the 5HP30 is clearly an evolutionary development...I wonder if anyone has retrofitted a 5HP30 on an older 4HP24 application
