Front Top Mounts not fitting on KW Variant 2, E36 M3

    Hey guys,
So I just received my KW Variant 2 coilover kit for my 95' E36 M3 and was not able to fit my OE top mounts on the coils, and was not able to find any videos or information online if they are supposed to fit or if I need new top mounts and/or camber plates to install these coils. If anybody has insight as to why this is happening or what you would recommend to install these coils in the front that would be greatly appreciated! I was looking into the Vorshlag camber plates but was not sure if I needed to order the ones with OE spring perches or the ones with coilover perches since KW does not specify the spring perch measurement on their V2 of 60mm, 2.5in, or 2.0in. Thank you guys!

I believe you will need camber plates.
    Vorshlag is a good choice.
You should be able to measure the spring inside diameter and purchase the appropriate perch for the VCPs.

One of the issues with many of the Bilstein and KW E36 kits is that you can mix and match years and M3 or non-M kits. And if they require an OEM style perch, you can get the wrong parts.
If you have this kit, #15220012, and the photos are accurate...

...then the kit would require a "coilover" style spring perch, not an OEM style spring perch.

KW typically use either a straight sided 60mm spring or a beehive shaped spring with an OEM perch.
The springs on the front strut in the photo would use 60mm perches.

If the photo is an accurate representation....the correct upper spring perch is in the kit.

KW usually use accurate photos, and they note when they are generic photos.
The kit likely comes with those purple upper perches for use with stock top mounts.

Since the Vorshlag camber plates are designed to be used with their custom spring perch that has a large bearing embedded in it, you don't want to use the KW purple perches.
Instead, get the camber plates configured correctly so you minimize stack height and mate them right to the spring.
