    New Safety Recall - 328d

I just received a Recall letter. Not sure if this is related to the dreaded Transfer Case issue? What do you guys think?

It's for the output flange wear, yes.

It's been around for 4+ months though, well in the USA.

So this specifically addresses the transfer case issues that everyone seems to have?

Any idea what they're doing to correct the issue?

    Rubber giubo is the prevention

Should I insist that they change the flange or transfer case and not just the giubo?

I wouldn't think there is a need to insist. They have specific guidelines and they have to upload pictures to corporate. The guidelines are fairly loose and targeted for changing the transfer case if there is wear or excessive rust.
The giubo gets changed no matter what, and the transfer case gets inspected at the same time.
