1996 Z3 Parts Compatibility

I have a Black on Black 96 Z3 1.9 Automatic - Manufactured 5/96.

Wondering if some 97, 98 or later Z'3 parts will fit? Is there a reference guide somewhere or how would someone know? As I look for parts to clean up the car I've only been searching 96's but if I could confidently expand the search to 97 or later it would help.

Looking mostly for interior parts.

I am also upgrading my 96, generally I use Realoem dot com to get the part number I am interested in and see if that part is available on other moder years. realeom shows what years that part is found in. Hope that helps.
