I am looking at a 2008 128i for $6000. The seller will seemingly take any offer he can that is decent if it means that he can get rid of it soon. Quote is the description of the ad, car is in very good condition in the pictures he has sent me. Thoughts? (Sorry if this isn't the right place for this)Selling a 2008 BMW 128i Coupe with 125xxx miles (daily driver). Owned car since 108k miles and all maintenance work has been done by family member BMW technician at BMW Bloomington. Repairs include: Valve Cover, Spark Plugs & Coils, Oil Changes, Thermostat, Water Pump, along with alignments and Cabin Air Filter. Front rotors need a swap and the hood cable is jacked but opens. Comes with paddle shifters and the upgraded sport “bucket” seats. Inside is a grey leather interior. Engine runs smoothly. Selling this car because I am starting college and will be living on campus. Money will go towards tuition that’s due in a couple days. Please don’t contact me unless you’ve got cash in hand. I really don’t want to waste my time with people who aren’t genuinely interested. Simply send true honest offers and come take a look at the car, you won’t be disappointed. Need gone within couple of days, best offer takes it.
That price isn’t bad if you go with 5K cash he will get rid of it make sure that there’s maintenance records

Is it manual or auto?
Automatic transmission have a known problem with the torque converter and transmission vibration. I bought a 2011 128i from a Genesis (high class Hyundai) dealer. I also bought the extended warranty. At 95k, the torque converter started to have a vibration on locking and unlocking when in "D".
With sport mode, the converter locks up faster and higher in the rev range so its not noticeable. It almost felt as if it the guibo but it was not. I was lucky to have the BMW dealer replace the torque converter for $4,300 with my cost being $100 for extended warranty company (Power Protect). Other than that, the car is great
