**SOLD** Hi everybody! I have a 1997 BMW 840 Ci, (8 series E31) with 59,507 miles for sale. Black/Grey. Clear title
VIN: WBAEF8327VCC31709.
This car is in very good condition. I have owned it since July 2016 with 53,400 miles. Driven less than 300 miles in the last 12 months, I no longer have use for this gorgeous car, and I need the garage space. Bought it from a fellow in Indiana and has lived with me in California since.
Exterior: (Black Schwarz 2 (668)) Timeless design, beautiful lines with no B-pillar give this model a gorgeous presence and a most desirable profile. The black paint is in very good condition. There are some very small dings on the passenger door that could be easily removed. There is a small dent on right front bumper apron.
Original new BMW wheels, double spoke, with 6k miles Sumitomo tires.
Engine sounds and runs perfectly. No weird sounds, no leaks, no oil consumption. The newly introduced 5-speed auto Steptronic transmission is silky smooth and in Sport mode is so much fun to drive! The engine bay looks like its first day out of the Dingolfing plant in Bavaria. Very clean, nothing missing.
Interior: (Leder Nappa/Pergament Hell (0358/M5PH)) Appointed in light beige-cream original leather, shows its age in a fantastic way without rips or tears. The headliner looks perfect with no sagging. The passenger seat mechanism probably jumped a tooth and is in a comfortable position, but forward-aft movement is limited. I attempted to obtain replacement cables from Paul Brill, the seat guru, but they are NLA. No other issues, period. The A/C runs cold. The radio is a new Becker Indianapolis BE7969 which blends beautifully with the rest of the console. It has a single cd player, am/fm radio and auxiliary input. There is a multidisc cd player in the trunk which was not working and is disconnected and left in place. I also have the original Becker radio/cassette player.
Driving this car is pure joy. Exceptionally smooth and agile around town, particularly in Sport mode of the Steptronic transmission, with precise maneuvering and sharp response for a car this size, weight and age. A true winner out on the highway, where it allows driver and passenger to relax and enjoy the supple ride.
All mechanical issues have been addressed, no electrical issues except for passenger seat and deleted trunk multidisc cd player as mentioned above.
Registered in California. Last smog check and VIR: 6/23/20 @ 59,507 miles
Engine: M62B44 V8 4.4L, DOHC 32V, Power: 282 HP, Torque: 310 lb-ft

Repl. all fluids. Last oil/filter change @ 59,213 miles - Liqui-Moli 5w-40, Hengst filter kit.
New period matching radio/CD player Becker Indianapolis BE7969.
All in all, an E31 was restored you would spend upwards of $35k, and still have a high mileage motor. This car needs very little attention, has relatively very low mileage. I really need the garage space and I hope we can find a good home for my car.

I know this 8er & the owner....both are "top notch"!
I'm not affiliated in any way with this offering.
1993 850Ci.....18 years & 165,000 miles and counting!
Anything under 30K looks like a steal for this car. Good luck with sale because someone is going to get a spectacular car!
Maybe try bringatrailer ???
E53 LSX Swap Coming Soon!
I might just do that. It is a little more expensive and involved and I was trying to avoid all that. But it is a good suggestion. Thanks!

Jorge!
Bring a trailer fee is only $99. I wouldn't call it expensive. Specially since Ebay, Autotrader and Hemmings cost the same or more.
Sure, bimmer forums is free, but you also get what you pay for (or don't pay for)... basically very little.
BAT is by far the most rewarding platform I have ever worked on. You can also try Doug DeMuro's platform Cars and Bids.
