Hello Everyone,
Seeking help with an issue that has been driving me crazy. Getting the following INPA code: 128 interface DME - EWS
A couple months ago, my first key for my car stopped working. It would open the car, when i try to turn on the car all the lights will come on, no dimming, just wouldn't crank. So I decided to give the second key a try. The car started right up. So I was using the second key to start the car from there on out, I wasn't driving the car, it was parked. I was just starting it every couple of days. I then took the car to my friends house, where it was parked as well. After that drive, i started to notice it would do the no crank no start issue here, and there. Then it got to the point where the car would start maybe 1 out 30 tries. So i got the key checked out, it turns out i had a bad coil, and needed a new battery. Once i got that fixed, the car would start perfectly fine. The issue recently came back, but not as bad as before. For example, if i get the no crank no start issue, if i let the car sit for a few, or try the next day, it will start. It is a real intermittent issue. I noticed the issue came back after i did my oil change and tried to reset the oil service through the instrument cluster. Don't know if that is related. I also have some pictures of what the EWS was reading when i finally got it to start, before i got the coil and battery replaced on the key. Waiting for my friend to bring back my scanner to see what the EWS says now when the issue appears.
Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you!

It could be the the key do wear out
That is what i plan to do next. Just get a brand new key.
Ended up replacing the EWS and got a brand new key. My old key never got the coil replaced, just the battery. so that was another issue.
Things been good so far. Hopes it stays that way.
