Got my first BMW

Just bought a 1986 528e automatic. Has a lot of work need done to it but I’m ready.
I have no clue on beemers so any advice you can give will help me out

Not too familiar with the 5 series, but your engine (M20) has a timing belt which needs changed every 60k miles or 5 years, whichever comes first.
Best check when it has been done for the last time, because if it snaps the engine will suffer serious damage.

Get the Bentley manual. And yes get the timing belt changed.

I am waiting for rims for my new (old) BMW 5 pics will post them next time. Hope it is not scam because they have a legit point of sale system like Elly. The tracking number is on away but the content of the package I'm interested in whether the rims are right
