2005 X3 2.5i AC clutch will not engage after system is charged. Cooling fan works, AC clutch will engage via scan tool, known good control panel for HVAC in the dash.
Is the LCM involved in the HVAC system? I ask because I recently found a "BE: KOMBI: Data-filing difference to central light module" error with the Foxwell scan tool. Also have a "87: KOMBI: K bus" error. I'm suspicionating that there's a "failure to communicate" somewhere such that the AC clutch is not getting a signal. My friendly mechanic has the car now and we'll see what he finds.
I'm curious what the Forum brain-trust thinks!
Who charged the ac if not done with a machine then you need to start with that
Thought I would update. System was filled by a pro with a machine and still no joy. I have the issue with no blinker relay sound, no blinker indicating on the instrument panel, no high beam indicating on panel and the previously mentioned error codes. Tried a panel, an LCM and traced the KBUS wires from both. They are good back to the junction block.
I will look and see if there is a kbus line from the DSC button panel.
Also scanner shows NOT ACTIVE for the stalk which runs the blinker and high beam
