WinKFP/DME update Failure help plz n ty!!

Howdy and HELP!!!!
New to BMW and to forums for that matter. I have found the information gathered invaluable in working with this ultimate machine I've had the pleasure of owning for the last 3 yrs but lately the pleasure has become pain. In my efforts to relieve said pain I attempted to update my DME with WinKFP and the DME decided to stop communicating and I am at a loss on how to achieve said goal. Please help. And ur patience with my newbie status is most appreciated. My baby is a 2010 535i e60 that has never been updated according to uif and info in INPA and I'm using Bimmergeeks kdcan and software.

NOTHING?? REALLY? 4 weeks I'm without transportation trying to figure this out, am now unemployed thanks to this situation, and all I'm asking for is some guidance from what I can tell are some very knowledgeable folks. Someone throw me a bone for heaven's sake. I have all downloads from Bimmergeeks as well as their cable. I also was able to procure the latest daten v67. However, I don't think the files are complete bc my ncexper/daten/e60 has files NOT folders inside. Aren't they supposed to be folders? if so, how do I fix this AND is this what caused my programming abort condition?
I've got to get this damn paperweight out of my garage and in the highway before I lose my home....someone PLEASE help as soon as u possibly can...

From the info you pasted I cannot tell what went wrong.
Really much more detail is needed (your settings, why you're updating, at what point did it fail, did you use battery support...)
Have you retried to flash?

I can remote in and fix it for you, but unsure when I can get some free time.

Thank God! Been reading ur posts,as well as others, and had come to the conclusion my datens are incomplete, but no way of knowing. Thx for giving me an idea what information is necessary to garner some assistance. 2010 535i e60 Win 10 64bit BMW ST Bimmergeeks pro cable SP Daten v67 Updated with Coding Tool Winkfp > Comfort Mode > Update ECU > Vin > Program > lost power > prodramming abort according to ISTA+ > ISTA said to follow the instruction in the programming module to recover, but I don't have ISTAP. Traced the last available update for my MSD81 to 7636870. Manually entered this which it found and supplied the correct current dataset > done > program > the accompanying error
Tried with the default settings and with uif unchecked, bootsecterupdate on and off, test checksum on and off, and show voltage on and off. In both INPA and ISTA once I read the DME I lose communication. I chose to update after my baby suddenly started having misfires and other runtime anomolies. I then found where the dealer didnt register the battery I replaced 2yrs ago even though they charged me $200 to do so, my injectors weren't coded to the car so I coded them via ISTA, and reading the UIF showing none of the modules ever having been updated. I have likely left something important but it escapes me currently.

Guess it would have to be seen in person or remotely. Lots of factors to be considered.

BTW, an update will not fix misfiring or anything

I’m all in...how do we accomplish the remote in? As far as the misfires n such, not a problem as the dang car has been collecting dust in my garage for freak’n weeks. Just need the updates done so I can go to work!! Ha!

Seems like central gateway module communication failure happened mid flash.
It's repeatable at any random time, with communication loss.
