    Inductive Sensor Connectors? M30 engine

I was installing a new cap and rotor on my 300k mile 535i and accidentally pulled the plugs on my inductive sensor. Usually with the Bosch wires there is a connector, however with these wires there are only spades and no connector. 1 black wire, 1 sorta bare wire, and 1 yellow wire.

The connector on the harness has a black wire, a red wire with a yellow stripe, and an orange wire.

Suggestions? I know that it does run without this connected, but I would like for it it be connected properly. Is there any great way For the home mechanic to figure out if the inductive sensor is properly connected?

We're discussing the "cylinder identification wire" with the ring on the #6 spark plug wire?
The "sorta bare" wire is probably the shielding. If there is no continuity to the other two then it is for sure.
Check the orange on harness side for continuity to ground, I'll bet it is so orange is for the shielding, "sorta bare" wire.
The remaining two are for the actual sensor (I'm near certain polarity means nothing) it makes sense for blk to blk which leaves only the yellow, so connect to the red/yel

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark Donohue
