What’s up with almost all high-end coilovers being height adjustable only by preload?

KW, Bilstein, AST, Moton, JRZ, Ground Control, TC Kline... The list goes on and on. Why is it that only low-end suspension manufacturers (With the exception of TRM and arguably Fortune Auto) give you the option to adjust ride height independently from spring preload?

Never mind, I did more research. Preload is perfectly acceptable to use for ride height adjustment. Adding preload doesn’t increase spring rate. Companies that know what they’re doing tend to keep as much suspension travel as possible, and using a threaded base isn’t the best way to keep suspension travel.

Today I learned, and boy does this open up my choices.
