Hi everyone.
I recently bought a 1989 E30 325is, and am trying to find my radio code. The only thing resembling a serial number on my radio is a small metal plate with the code "F80712042" engraved on it. I called the local dealer and gave them this number, but they said nothing came up in their system. Interestingly enough, the dealer told me to try my luck in internet forums lol. He mentioned something about there being generic codes that could work in multiple radios??
In any case, any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Here are some pictures of the radio, in case it helps

Asking for radio codes on the forum is usually forbidden. BUT, since you have done your best to obtain it from the dealership, and they couldn't pull it up, I don't see an issue with you asking for help here.
Your pictures aren't showing up for me. If they're embedded, then they won't show up because you don't have enough posts to put up pictures. If they are hosted elsewhere, and hotlinked, then it could be my work firewall blocking them.
Do the pics work for anyone else? I'm not even sure I even have access to radio codes anymore.
