    2008 Bmw 528i P0300 P0301 P0302 P0303 C0700 codes PLEASE HELP!! Rough Idle

Hey guys, Hoping you can help me with this issue i'm having. Just replaced valve cover and gasket recently and getting these codes now.

    P0300 P0301 P0302 P0303 C0700
Engine is shaking horribly, idle is rough and sounds like it wants to stall. I swapped coils and spark plugs with no luck, I also checked them for any oil and all looks good. Mechanic told me it's going to cost $4,000 to fix the phaser because it could be broken. Someone please give me some advice and hopefully some good news that I can try to fix this. Appreciate the help!

You posted codes with no descriptions. You might as well be speaking a foreign language.

If the engine ran normal before the work and now runs crappy you need to go back and check your work

I've got a similar problem and also tried moving the spark plug from 4 to 1 and the coil from 4 to 2....the fault remained on cylinder 4???
Surely the only thing left is to consider is the injector on cylinder 4, and presumably 6 now, or a connectivity issue with the harness?\
I too would appreciate any assistance that my colleagues out there might be able to offer so for clarity and the benefit of the BMW Master Certified Technician:
It started with P1349 aka Misfire, Cylinder 4 with fuel cutoff
Then both P1353 aka Misfire, Cylinder 6 with fuel cutoff and also P0300 aka Random/Multiple Cylinder misfire detected
The engine is now extremely rough but previously when I only had the P1349 code I discovered that if I stopped the car momentarily then re-started the engine on occasions it would run for several days without a problem but then on other occasions it would only run for a few minutes before returning; now it's totally limping so I have my baby up on blocks until I figure out what's wrong.

The OP's codes are self explanatory except for the p0700. You would have to go under transmission specifically with a capable scanner to see what the exact transmission code(s) are. The rest are misfire codes for the corresponding cyls. P0300 is a lot more involved than most people think. A car is easy to figure out when it has say a cyl or two misfiring with a p0301 and p0303 for example. But p0300 means all cyls are misfiring, but some bad enough to throw their own individual codes. You will need to find out whats effecting the entire engine before going after things like plugs and coils or even injectors. You have a MAF sensor, Throttle sensor and the mechanical blade to inspect and clean, two upstream 02 sensors that control A/F ratio, CAM phasers and actuators, CAM and Crank sensors, and many more that need monitored and tested. On top of the engine issue, you have transmission issues. So I almost want to say you might want to just make the car go away, sounds like a real POS sorry to say.
