Comparing the suitable bmw parts to the Corteco piece and the modifications I had to make. I’m waiting for real world feedback still, but plan to offer these modified accumulators

I wonder how many people run into each other on Fchat and here? Very impressive work.

An update to what I replied to you there--the new lot of Febi and SWAG bombs are scheduled to ship in September now--my date is the 29th.

The line to the shock is an M12x1.5 thread.

There are differences is the triangular bracket. The MB/Corteco part is taller thinner triangle. So the new mounting holes are about 1/2 lower on the bracket than the stock ones.
Great news! So no adapters needed?
Great pics to for the mods. I'll do some CAD (cardboard assisted design) and post my own!

Our Ferraris use a male to male adapter going out to the shock. That was the challenge i had to find an new part. The BMW accumulators have an female M14 outlet to the shocks, MB/Corteco have an M12 outlet. I sourced that for.

The diagrams for the BMW setup looks like the hose ends in a male end and screws directly into the accumulators. You would need a female M14 to Male M12 piece

The SWAG ones just got pushed back to December, Febis are still on track for September. My company orders them from a distributor in Germany.

So I destroyed my hoses on removal, and thought a local shop could take care of it. The couldn't... Metric and old, they can't even order it.
I am curious about the hose end connection type, I've seen DIN/ISO (like a brake line) referenced in the forum.

Anyway, as I should have done from the start... I'm ordering custom hoses from Trausch Dynamics (hydraulicstore.com) Moroza has a helpful build list that I'll work off of, https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?2441973

Ill get hoses made to directly fit the MB hydraulic accumulator. Will be sure to post the build list here so everyone else can use it too!

In the meantime, does anyone know if I can lower the car and roll it while the sls struts are disconnected? (Yes you can)

Edit: Trausch seriously messed this up and I'm out $200. Go local where you can physically bring the parts to the shop and verify fit and pressure test.

All is well now, but I paid the price in hydraulic hoses nearly $400 later.
