stuck button on e brake

Yesterday when I parked the Z I pulled the emrtgrncy brake and the release button(?) jammed inthe brale handle and is stuck. The brake released. but the button is still stuck and the brake won't engage. Anyonecelse ever have this happen?

My grandson fixed the problem. He got my rubber mallet and bludgeoned the brake handle a couple of times and it popped back out...Dr. says he'll be fine in a day or two...🤕 🤛

A hammer and duct tape will fix everything!

Perhaps some graphite might help prevent it from happening again. If you pull off the leather handle, you will have better access to getting the graphite in there.
