E536BAB4-C9CB-47E4-B429-C020ED0DD576.jpgAll,
my ride quality is terrible and so much vibration
pressing or conrners it was bouncing back ok so for a while leading me to believe shock were ok as they are also gas so no leak and could't compress all the way to hear gas hiss
so long story short, i took a punt and bought both front and changed one as other is on back order
to mu surprise when i removed the old shock they were totally dead. When compressed it won't return and took few mins for it to return so definitely shock was gone and could hear gas escaping when compressed all the way
any way what is now bothering me is two things
fat bit on belistin shock is different from bmw original ones and I think they are for lowered cars so when pushed into hub, it goes in same as the original bmw but part of the fat bit is still sticking out as per the picture attached
it doesn't go in any further unless i compress hub so much hoping it goes in but then one side might be lower assuming it goes in. So looking at pic attached do you think it is ok?
two spring moves slightly so not on the top mount stop and around 2 cm before it. Should I compress again and try and move it so it hits the stop?
what is purpose of the stop on top mount for springs
needless to say bought pair of rear ones as well
