Metelli Clutch Slave Cylinder Any Good?

I recently purchased a clutch slave cylinder for my E36 328i. The specified part was FTE (OE supplier), but now the vendor is saying they can't get the FTE, and is offering to substitute a Metelli part, which they say is of the same quality. I don't know anything about Metelli parts, besides that it's an established Italian company that has served the European market for years. Anyone here had any experience with them? Decent kit, or total trash?

i know FTE, but, can't speak for metelli.


fcpeuro's site shows FTE as available, at least.....

Just checked FCP (usually my go-to), and they don't have the FTE even listed as available for my car - just the Genuine BMW (which I believe is FTE) for triple the price of the plain FTE part.

I looked up an e36 328 on their site earlier and it was showing available.
granted - I have no details on the car so just guessing.

at any rate - nope, I don’t know anything about that brand.

parts availability has been all over the map lately.
