Compatibility, and suggestions preface 325i sedan e46
I am new here Isaiah and my question is work compatibility. I have a 2001 BMW 325i that runs on the m54 engine with the ECU DME ms43. As well as I have a 1999 preface 328i. Hey so my question is will the E46 from the 99 328i suave right over on to the 2001 BMW 325i with the m54 well that fuel rail injectors swap right on? also it's a crank no start and I have checked all fuses or relays all that good fuel pump is good battery is beyond good everything is checked out I was losing fuel pressure I haven't since checked it I had water in my oil so I have gained all that out before I meet you going to mess with it and then I just wanted to know if the injectors believe they're 2160p to 163 off my 328 s compared to 2433 s on the 01 325.I'd love to know if the fuel injectors are compatible stately and as well are the ignition coils I mean I had already thrown the ignition coils Matthew 28 and plugs on to the 3:25 and had it running 10 times better but now I'm at a no crank no start now I pulled the old rail off and there was that it has several next match injectors so I wanted to know if I put my complete set for my 328 on there if it would work for everybody to you much for the computer or whatnot or what I have to delete or whatnot or what are the vacuum lines it could be because everything is good relays uses all that is
all good I just need a little help but thanks anybody
Wow there are some very very very long sentences in you post. Makes it very very very hard to read.
Check the compatibility of parts by putting the last 7 digits of your VIN number into the search box at www.realoem.com. You then be able to search for parts specific to your car. When you click on the part number it shows you what other cars used the same parts = compatibility.
1999 2.8L Z3 Roadster,
2000 3.0L Z3 Roadster,
There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.
The pre-facelift 328i M52TU uses a throttle cable, and the post-facelift 325i M54 is drive by wire. I don't know, but I'd say it's unlikely for the engine management systems to be compatible.
Sorry if that wasn't your question. It reads like you used Google translate from another language, and I couldn't really follow what you were asking.
Anything can be done with enough time, skill and money. The 2 engines in question are different animals. And I don’t mean one is a German Shepard and the other is a greyhound. I mean one is a house cat and the other is a lynx. Both are cats but very different. The main differences are things like wiring harnesses, throttle actuations (the M52 uses both a throttle cable and electronically controlled throttle, the M54 is strictly electronic), etc. I’m not sure if they use the same DME? Someone chime in.
