    Can an automatic 318i (N42B20)gearbox drive a 330i (N54B30) engine. E46

    Hello !!! Iwant to change the engine of my e46 compact.I want to put 330i but my 318ti car is automatic. Can this automatic run 330i ?

    No. The N54B30 is a twin turbo engine and would produce too much torque for the the N42B20 automatic transmission.
    1999 2.8L Z3 Roadster,
    2000 3.0L Z3 Roadster,

    There is only one thing more pleasurable than working on a Z3, that's driving it top down on a fine day.

    OK but can it handle the M54B30 ot M54B25 ?
