the clutch is slipping on my Roadster, my son is studying automotive tech and wants to do the install as a class project. I am willing to let him but would like some advice on what else should be replaced at that time and what issues might pop up that he will have to deal with. The instructor said he would work with him but my biggest concern is what might pop up. any advice/horror stories will be greatly appreciated.
considering using a UUC kit # B1-A-PO
does anyone have experience with this kit or suggestions on another one?
thanks

I don't have any advice yet but I am looking to replace the clutch in my 96 as well. Keep us updated as he goes about the process, it would be greatly appreciated.
When they remove the propshaft they will probably find that he guibo needs replacing (the flexible joint between the gearbox and the prop). I don't think there's anything particularly difficult or novel about it, so they should be fine with the instructor's guidance.
I don't know anything about that clutch kit, but it looks like it's for 6-cylinder cars and I assume you have a 1.9 4-cylinder if it's a 1996?
Bladerunner919, I called and talked to the company and they said it will fit so i am leaning toward them.. it helps that we are in the same city so i can go by and talk to them.
i am just worried that some part that is needed will be missed and or what else should i replace while they have it apart. thanks for the input...
