Horn will not blow & airbag light is on. It's my understanding a broken clock spring is causing the problem. I have removed the steering wheel and I think my clock spring is working. See the video attached. Is there something I should know about the position of the clock spring? Need Help.
The clock spring will click at a certain point when rotating. What does that mean? Does that affect the proper way to install it?
Video not playing for me. Could just be me.
Maybe post to YouTube and paste a link here

It's not you. It didn't download as a video but it is a video in my downloads. Don't know how to correct that. Sorry.

Have you tested it for continuity? I'm no expert but that's what I would try.
Check each lead for continuity.
I have ordered a clock spring....hope that resolves my issue.

The clock spring that I ordered makes the same clicking noise when turning the clock spring. Here is a link to the clock spring video. Note the clicking when turning the clock spring. Is there a certain way t install the steering wheel so the clock spring will properly function?
Did you center the clock spring before installing it? IIRC 2.5 turns from either side to center.
It is not yet installed. Where's center? When I turn it to left or right, it reaches a point where it won't turn and makes a a clicking sound if I turn it beyond that point. Listen to my video on the attached link. Is that center? https://photos.google.com/share/AF1Q...NsWk9KalBBWnJn

After logging on Pelican Motors and watching the post on how to replace the steering wheel, I discovered how to find the center of the clock spring. There's a mark on the clock spring put there by the factory indicating where the center in located. (see enclosed photo) Also, I discovered what was making the clicking sound. On the enclosed photo there's a white plastic piece attached near the center marker. When I press my finger on it, the clock spring turns freely. When I bolted the steering wheel back on I noticed the head of the bolt has a washer attached. That washer pushes in the white plastic piece making room for the steering wheel to turn freely without the clicking noise. So I guess there's a New Clock Spring Guru in town and that be me...LOL

Taking note. Thanks for posting your findings

Did that fix the problem?
I think i have the same problem but haven't tried to tackle it yet. I previously worked for a company that manufactured clock springs.
DId you have to reset the SRS after install?
Hmm, I had a dead horn and an airbag light. It turned out to be bad horns (both) and the seat belt tensioner. Two new horns, cleaning of tensioner connections and reseating (I use a dab of dielectric), and an airbag reset and I was sorted.
Sounds like the clock spring got you back to your happy place.
