Correct Install Specs for e39 M5 Dinan Springs/Koni Yellow Shocks
Hi, everyone. I'm looking for specs for how to correctly install Dinan springs with Koni Yellows on the e39 and am seeking your input. I'm having them installed on my car while it's at the shop today. My questions are:
* Should the springs be preloaded prior to installing on the car, or are they essentially already already preloaded by design?
* What's the correct orientation of the front and rear springs in the spring seats? For example, on the rears, I'm finding people recommend that if the spring seat's notch is, say, at 12 o'clock, the end or tail of the spring should NOT be flush in the notch, but rather it should be at about 4 o'clock.
* Which spring perch on the rear Konis should be used (I'm finding most people seem to say the middle perch)?
Any thoughts?
Thanks, as always, for your help!
