Air conditioner slow to kick on

    Hi all,

For the last month or two, the air conditioning is taking longer to turn on. The blower blows at full strength, but it's just warm air until I get out onto the road. Sometimes it takes 2-3 miles before the compressor turns on. Once it does kick on, the air is just as cold as ever and works fine for the rest of the trip.

I just don't understand what could be causing the delay in the compressor kicking on. Thanks!

Time for a new compressor. It's common.
