    530i Touring Wheel Question

Apologies if this has been covered, and it's a somewhat basic question but it's been twisting my mind into a pretzel due to my lack of knowledge, and the various responses I've been getting via search.

Looking to get some M Parallels for my 530i Touring. Currently on stock suspension and 15" Style 7s, but will be switching to a 45mm/30mm Lowtec spring and strut combo, once they're back from vacation.

    1) Will a staggered set from a e39 will require hubcentric rings? Or are they a direct fit?
    2) The set I'm looking at is mounted with 245/40 and 275/35 Bridgestone Potenza's. Will I run into issues with rubbing? The back does seem wider than what I've seen most people mention they're running, however I have seen 275's stated as working without rubbing. I know there is a variance between manufacturers.
    3) Will I run into an fitting issues with the tire sizes mentioned, along with my near future suspension change?

If there's anything else I'm missing, please let me know.

E39 hubs are bigger than E46's and the offset for E39 are more aggressive.

Are you using E39 MPars or E38 MPars?

These would be E39 M Parallels. Currently mounted with 245/40 and 275/35 Bridgestone Potenza's mounted, with one season of use. So ideally I can fit these tires.

Those tire sizes should be fine, I had those same exact sizes on my 525it with lowering springs and E38 M-Pars. The E39 spec M-Pars have almost the same offset in the back for what it's worth. Also, you can always roll the fenders for extra clearance if you're concerned about rubbing.

You'll need some hubcentric rings to adapt the wheels from 74.1mm to 72.56mm— they're readily available and inexpensive.

Here's what my 525it looked like with the 245 and 275 tires. They were Riken Raptors which tend to run a bit large, and I never rubbed in the back even with lots of people and cargo.

Thanks for the insights, exactly what I was after. Glad that even when loaded with some weight there is no rubbing.

I did see someone mention that 94/95s came with wider fenders that older models, no idea if that's accurate but I hope it's true as I'd like to avoid any fender rolling.

I’m not sure how true the fender thing is, but I’ve had no trouble fitting in M-Pars with 275’s on any of my cars. The silver wagon I posted above is a 92 525it, but I also had the same M-Pars on a 94 530it, and currently have them on my 95 525i. No difference in fitment as far as I can tell.

Glad to hear! They'd be going on my 95 530iT.

I only saw the mention of the fender thing come up once, so either it's inaccurate, no one really knows about it, or it's so minor that it gets overlooked.
