Any further updates on these?
Should have a sample in a couple weeks.
I'm as eager as you are to get this done.
White is Right, Steel Grey is OK, but Estoril is the only color that truly matters.
I like Coupes.
For those that didn't read the whole thread.
I was giving Ben crap for not selling more Coupe stuff, then Milla chided him, and then he offered to make me another one.
Knowing that he made all those shift kits for 6 speed coupe swaps that only a handful of people bought, I tried to get a couple more people interested so he wouldn't loose a bunch of money on me... again.
You mentally unstable Coupe loves all jumped on the bandwagon with me. (We're the best!)
Ben told me to ship him my (one of 3 still existing) strut braces to make a jig.
I've been waiting patiently for MONTHS for my strut brace to return with a twin.
The strong strut is a great piece of work, but doesn't fit the S54 engine. Paul had specially bent me a brace and personally fitted it to my car on
I am making no money on this project, the goal is just not to LOSE too much money so we get more stuff like this in the future.
This is a goodwill project putting time into a project that has no potential to scale up beyond us Coupe and Roadster fanatics.
When I get the prototype fitted and post pictures I will be collecting shipping addresses offline.
Be patient, there won't be unlimited runs, and it probably won't happen again unless we mount a much larger social media campaign to guilt RE into new unprofitable projects.
In the mean time, check out these exhaust hangers. Anyone interested in a MZ specific set?

What do OE hangers run these days, $18 apiece? It'd be tough to drop more on one hanger than a set of 4 costs. Any idea on the cost for us? I do despise the OE hangers mounted with the Supersprint crap-designed single-shear hangers.
Someday I'll come up with a new piece (the blue bit) so the OE hangers don't twist. Some might ask: why not just copy the SS piece and place it on the other side? Well, the SS bracket has a long slotted vertical hole that only works if you really torque down the green bolt, which stresses the hanger even more. My mufflers never seem to be exactly where I left them. I'd have to set the height exactly right, then come up with a way to drill a single hole in the new bracket so that even if the nut somehow came a bit loose, the mufflers wouldn't sag. Trial and error most likely, and then I'd probably end up shimming the rubber hangers to really dial it in. Sounds horrible, which is why I've never done it. I just keep tightening the bolts.

Funny you should ask.
As a result of some looking around RE likely based off this thread I came across this hangers as BMWBergy had an issue with his SS tips contacting (and melting) his bumper cover from lateral G's. He reached out to RE about applicability of the listed hanger for a E367/8 application and RE confirmed its not a direct fit but was going to order the E367/8 hangers and design a similar system. I do agree with s8ilver that it's not as fiduciarily responsible for us as the mounts are significantly cheaper, UNLESS, they can result in less lateral movement.

Great to hear an update!
Just a reminder that we are all still here

I'm 100% in on this (just took delivery of an M Coupe yesterday) if it's possible.
also down for bar payment ready
I would buy exhaust hangars. Especially if they have some adjustability. I know that kit has shims but something slightly more engineered would be great.
I'm out. Went with something else, got sick of waiting.
Good luck, gents!
I've got an S52 M Roadster and would like to get on the strut brace list if there is still a spot (like the one previously occupied by golgo13?).
Thanks.
I’m also an S52 owner who is interested IF it fits. I have a sensor (maybe?) that sticks up where I think the diagonal bar might pass over that I’m not sure if it will clear. It’s the one in front of the dipstick. Pics attached. It looks higher than some other S52 pics I’ve seen but can’t tell for certain.
I think I might bow out too, those guys can take my spots. These bars will fit an S52
any updates?
Knock Knock...
Who's there?
Orange?
Orange Who?
Orange you glad I didn't take your money at the beginning and make you wait forever?
Working on fitment, this project is not dead.
These things take time.
