Here's the latest update.

I shipped off my original RE strut brace to Ben and he is going to re-make the jig. The bar stock has to be run through a roller in order to make it that nice flat oval shape that doesn't come into contact with our lovely hoods. This increases the labor and manufacturing costs, so I think its mostly a good-will gesture and maybe things are slower with the whole covid thing and they have time to invest they wouldn't normally have.

I have made a personal financial commitment for 15 bars. We are going to call them the first 15. If they are all gone immediately, then I guess more could be made with a longer lead time. Odds are there won't be much demand and they will chop up the jig for something else and these will be the only bars made.

Material will be steel. Costs will be under $400 plus shipping from the NJ shop. This includes finishing and powder-coating.

Its a one piece bar, no hinges, made to factory spec. Slotted holes were discussed for fitment, but unless you have had front end chassis damage, it should fit up nicely.

This could be 15 and done, so no guarantees for #16. If you are late to the party I am not sure you can be accommodated.

We could add a few more in the next week or so, now that we have all the details.

Manufacturing time is going to be roughly 3-4 months.

As always, I am not benefiting financially from this process, but you will owe me one.

I will have more details as we get closer, I don't think I will be personally collecting or relaying any money.

I am not looking to make a profit on my friends and I have never attempted to monetize my BMW hobbies.

I will be getting a bar at the same price as everyone else. I appreciate everyone's help in making this a reality for me.
