Hi guys so i have a problem with my 02 m3 my DSC light only comes on and stays on when i go over 20mph.
I have tried a few things, so i was getting code 88 for pre charge pump, so i got a used one from ebay installed tested with 12v and it moves, the old one doesnt. But still didnt fix the light, with autel scanner i try to activate it and does nothing.
Then i thought it could be abs module, i bought used one from ebay also, same part number and all its from a 01 m3, and nothing, does it need to be coded to my car? what else should i try? I was trying to send mine out to be rebuilt but does anyone know a place where they rebuild these modules? some places dont to m3 modules for some reason...

Yes, I think the DSC module will need to be coded to your car. What are the actual codes you keep getting, and please include word for word from the scanner.

Scanner says DSC: Precharging pump , thats the only fault it gives me...
I have the option to activate it to test it but it doesnt come on, i can test the abs pump too and that one works.
Should i try to find someone to code the used abs module i got to my car? Will the dealer even code a used module? Or send mine out for repair? Not sure how to test if the module is actually bad tho

Yeah, I don't think it going to work until you code it, so get that done first. Also is there a "P" or "B" code number?

So "P" stands for Powertrain and the "B" is Body codes. Normally they come with 4 number following them, and it's a bit easier to find what to do in service data if you have the codes plus the description.
