Hi folks ... looking for a solution to a problem that recently surfaced on my 2007 Z4M. Occasionally, at any speed, the left front wheel/brake seems to pulsate rhythmically as if the rotor is warped. Steering wheel vibrates. Without changing anything (no speed change or application of the brakes) the pulsation often goes away on its own and now back to smooth as silk operation. Occurrence of pulsation seems to be more probable after braking. When it is occurring, the car will not drift far - i.e., as if the brakes are being applied ever so lightly. Any ideas? (Note - I checked the lug nuts - wheels are secure.)
Sounds like a warped disc. I had the same at about 65/70 mph. But I knew the disc was warped as the caliper seized and the disc (rotor) was literally glowing. I changed both calipers either side and the disc for high performance ones and our Brembo pads in, now it's smooth as silk! When I did it I got the pads and discs for £100, the calipers were only about £50 the pair and I put on performance braided Flexi hoses which were only about £40, job done!

Check your left FCAB... front control arm bushing.... a likely candidate for causing the pulsating especially when braking.
Google the issue for more info.
