    2014 328d Xdrive Front Pads

Looking for front pads, and every site I check wants to know what color calipers I have. To the best of my knowledge, they have no color, but I do not know if that is because they are the "gray" brembo calipers, or if they were a color and it has worn off. Car has every option other than M-Sport and Driver's assistance (blind spot detection).

Is there any way to tell which color calipers the car came with, by the vin or some other ID tag? I don't want to order the wrong pads.

Have you tried to run the VIN in Realoem.com to see what pads actually came with the car? Sometimes you can get OE pads for about the same as aftermarket pads.

When I punched in 2014 328d it looks like you have the stock floating caliper BMW has used since the 90's: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=3D33-USA-12-2013-F30-BMW-328d&diagId=34_1968

Textar tends to be the OE provider for BMW pads on most models, if you want to get them some place other than a dealership.

I don't think Textar makes the new ones anymore. I used Textar on mine and they were crazy squeaky and very dirty. Got Akebono all around and all good. That was weird for me, as Textar was the go-to.

    Abel,

You must have found a knock-off as I am using them on the wagon with the ATE powerslot rotors all around and no noise. But I did get them from ebay.de so a good chance that they are original from Textar.

I had to check for I plan on doing the brakes on the F45 soon so I order some from www.thebmwminipartstore.com and here is a picture, looks like they are still providing pads for BMW on the stock cars. Not sure who provides the pads for the M's or the top end of the line.

They were from Worldpac, a major pro parts supplier, with brand new Zimmermann coated rotors. Bedded in carefully too.

Pictures of F30/31 BMW pads look way different, no Textar on them.
